1. Join Wikispaces.com
  • Click Join in the top right hand side of the website
  • Register with Wikispaces.com
  • Do not create a new wiki

2. Join this TMS Tech Tips Wiki


  • Click the Join this Wiki link in the top left hand corner
  • Click the request membership button
  • When I accept you into the TMS Tech Tips wiki, you will be able to continue this assignment

3. Add a New Page

  • Click the Add a New page link in the side bar, in the top left hand corner. This option is only visible if you are registered and have joined the wiki.
  • Type the name of a STATE for the name of your page

4. Edit your new page to type information about your STATE


  • Click on the "edit" button at the top of the page. The page editor toolbar will appear. The toolbar may be dragged around the screen.
  • The page editor allows you to add text and pictures to a page and to format that page.
  • Follow the Wiki How To’s page for editing features
  • Click the "Save" button to save your work and the toolbar will disappear.
  • Save frequently
  • Type information about your STATE onto your new page
  • It is possible to copy and paste text from a Word file onto the wiki page also
  • Insert pictures from anything you have saved in your H, L or P drive (or try using an external link to link to a picture on the Internet)
  • Add this link to your STATE page: http://www.purposegames.com/game/states-of-the-usa-quiz


5. Edit others’ STATE pages

  • Add/change information on the page

6. View History Tab on your STATE page


  • Note who has edited this page and that it is possible to Revert to older versions
7. View Discussion Tab on your STATE page

  • Start a discussion
  • Go to another STATE page and respond to at least one discussion question
